News Skills

The skills-news pack provides source-cited reports and delta watches for topics chosen by the user. These workflows use swappable profiles (a ready genai-world profile for AI news, plus a _template.md for any topic).

The methodology uses source-credibility tiers and coverage checks. Company profiles stay local; this reference does not publish them.

Skill Description
news-digest Build a full, source-cited news digest on any topic for a period. Multi-stream research → changelog + broad sweeps → credibility-tiered sources → coverage audit → adaptive synthesis into Markdown (optionally .docx) with inline citations and a categorized source index. Modes auto-select by period length (QUICK / STANDARD / QUARTERLY).
news-monitor Lightweight delta watch — “what’s genuinely new since I last looked?” Reads the same profiles, scans meta-sources + targeted searches, diffs against a saved watermark, dedups across outlets, and reports only new items (each cited). A clean “nothing new” is a valid result; the watermark advances every run.
goap-research-ed25519 The mandatory verified-research backend bundled with this pack. GOAP-plans the research and emits an ed25519-signed provenance record per source (anti-hallucination, citation-chain integrity). Both news-digest and news-monitor route all source-gathering through it — no claim ships without a verified, signed source.

How to use

Skills auto-activate on their trigger phrases. The typical loop is monitor often, digest periodically:

  • “Сделай AI-дайджест за февраль” / “what’s new in AI over the last month” → news-digest
  • “what’s new in GenAI since last week” / “monitor the Kubernetes ecosystem for releases” → news-monitor

Profiles

Section titled “Profiles”

A profile supplies the research streams, must-cover entities, watchlists, and meta-sources for a topic:

  • genai-world — GenAI news (frontier models, agentic, OSS/GitHub, arXiv, products, partnerships…).
  • _template.md — copy it to define any topic; keep organization-specific context in a local profile.
